  • How to face the tiredness

During these days when I’ve been trying to improve my productivity by applying Kaizen on my daily life, I’ve had to face one new enemy with which I had never thought: the tiredness.

I realized that is hard to find the motivation and the strength to start an activity but it is even more difficult if you are tired.

The best solution to this is, obviously, take some rest. But, what if you couldn’t take it?

In those cases you must focus on the final image.

The final image is a picture of you in the future succeeding your goals. Imagine, for a moment, that you are accomplishing whatever you wanted when you started this journey of productivity. With that picture on your mind, it will be easier to find the strength and the desire to start your duty.

Remember: focus on your future and think in a picture of you succeeding.

  • The First obstacles in your way

When you start a productivity journey you must be concerned that only with a very strong commitment you will succeed.

But even with that commitment, during the first phase of that journey you will probably have to face with some obstacles that try to make you fail.

Those obstacles aren’t external but from your own mind.

Faced with a change, your mind will try to sabotage you with only one purpose: change nothing.

Therefore, when you are taking the first steps, at the very beginning, remember a simple thing: you have to fight against your mind desires; you have to face them and defeat them.

Only in that case, you will be free to accomplish your goal.

  • Applying Kaizen to my life

A few days ago I talked about Kaizen as a system to implement an improvement process in our ordinary life.

I want you to be partakers of the process of implementation.

Final goal is to gather information and experiences about the process and how difficult it could be.

So, from now on, I’m going to try to implement Kaizen in my life. Step by step. Only one step at time. And I’m telling you how is it working (or not) and whatever I think about it.

  • Change your mind, change the world

In my opinion, one the most valuable thoughts that the major of entrepreneurs transmit is the concept: “thinking out of the box”.

If we work with the actual rules, with the actual point of view with its own inherited limitations we won’t probably change anything.

We need to think with a non-established perspective which could let us change the dogma and, therefore, change the rules.

I prefer think about pushing far away the limits instead of “breaking” any rule.

If you can imagine a world without the actual boundaries, where things could be different and you really believe that you could make it happen, you have taken the first (and probably most important) step in your run to success.

  • Anime: Darker than Black

This is the first post of a new series on which I will talk about the tv series, anime, etc. that I’m watching.

A work colleague recommended to me the anime Darker than Black and this week I started to watch it.

As I’ve seen watching the two first episodes, Darker than Black is an amazing anime which starts in a hypothetical city on where something happened. Something about sky and stars. After that event, some special human beings appeared. People who had strange powers. People who were able to do incredible things. And a mysterious history starts at that point.

As you can see, it’s a fantastical anime with an interesting drawing and a really cool soundtrack.

I’ll tell you more when I finish it.

  • Saying good bye to a genius

If you are an entrepreneur you are always thinking about your dream, how to achieve it, how it will look like.

Steve Jobs was one of the best entrepreneurs on the world, probably the best. He had a dream and he worked so hard to see it become real.

Today, the entire entrepreneur and technology world will wake up sad. The genius of innovation, the master of revolutionary gadgets, has died at the age of 56.

We will always be thankful to him. He showed us so many important things about how to reach your dreams.

However, Steve Jobs didn’t give us only his awesome devices, but his most valuable treasure: his ideas and his way of think.

    Thanks, Steve.

    RIP

“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.”

    Steve Jobs (1955 – 2011)

  • What is Kaizen?

If you go to Wikipedia you can know a little bit more about that productivity system but, for now, you only need to know that Kaizen is a Japanese term which means: kai = change and zen = good.

That’s the point. An improvement always needs a change. The problem is that in most of cases the goal needs a high cost change. The reason is simple: you always think in a drastic change. You want to be fit and you’ll probably think in running for 10km every day.

Kaizen says to us that you can achieve your goals or, at least, improve everything you want by introducing little changes day by day.

For example, I want to improve my English and, at the same time, I want to post every day. That’s the reason why I’m posting now, in English.

Then, after a week implementing a change, the change will become a standard and you won’t need to remember it every time.

Kaizen only says to you that a very long way starts with a single step.

Make the step by yourself and someday you will end the whole way.

  • Future echoes

With the recent doubts regarding the Theory of Relativity of Albert Einstein and its axiom of the limit of velocity: no physical object, message or field line can travel faster than the speed of light in vacuum, I’m meditating about our thoughts about reality and our points of view.

Newton, Copernicus, Ptolomeo, had their own point of view with the restrictions in their perspective that the circumstances of the time when they lived accounted to them.

It’s possible; therefore, that now we have our own limitations of sight. What if there is something in our point of view that limits us? What if time is a measurement which travels forwards and backwards?

Let me think for a moment that there is one possibility of someone who doesn’t have that sort of limitations and is capable of perceive the echoes of time, the shadows of things that will happen…

Think about it for a while. Do you have someone: a friend, a relative, who has the power of feel some things, know about what is about to happen…? What if he or she can really do it?

Laura Izibor – Can’t Be Love
